Happy Friday!

March 7th, 2008 by preplibrary

Looking for ways to participate in the world at large?  Check out the 20th Annual  Global Youth Service Day, April 25-27. Or the week-long camp held around the country, Youth Meets Truth Summer Camp.

On another note…have you noticed the increase of library use?  I think it is fantastic that you  feel comfortable using the library during your free periods and before/after school.  But (you knew there was a “but” coming) it’s important to keep in mind the library is the only place in the building were you can find a quiet place to study/listen to music/im/read?/sleep. Please do respect the sanctity of the library and work quietly.

If you ran the library would you make any changes?

Thank you, I think. I’m happy you are reading the blog. Do you have any thoughts about the library?

    hello,
yes i think the computers in the library should be open for use until 5 o’clock instead of 4:30. It is rediculous that the computers must be shut down at 4:30. It only takes 2 seconds to shut them down. Let’s give everyone a chance to use them untill 5!

Duly noted. How about a message at 4:45 saying that you have 15 minutes to finish working, save and email any documents you are working on? Do you think that everyone would be off at 5pm? Not 5:02 or 5:11. Without complaining?

I think that would be fine. The point is that 4:30 is just too early. By 5:00, most kids are heading to the bus or cheifs place anyway, so I think a 5:00 time limit on the computers is much better.
